CF Benchmarks passes independent Deloitte audit for second time

CF Benchmarks is the only Regulated cryptocurrency Benchmark Administrator to voluntarily seek an audit and pass - twice

CF Benchmarks is proud to announce that it has passed a thorough independent audit of its operations by Big Four firm Deloitte for the second time.

This extends CF Benchmarks unique status as the only cryptocurrency Benchmark Administrator to submit itself to such an examination and be assessed as sound.

The audit was an evaluation of CF Benchmarks’ compliance with the UK Benchmarks Regulation (BMR) covering our Operational, Governance and Technology Policies, Processes and Methods in the form of an ISAE (UK) 3000 report.

ISAE (UK) 3000 is one of the most exacting principles-based standards adopted by the Financial Reporting Council (FRC).

CF Benchmarks was already the only global cryptocurrency index provider to have passed an audit, having done so previously in July 2020.

Now, following the initiation of a fresh ISAE (UK) 3000 audit by Deloitte LLP, that was completed in September 2022.

Achieving this independent kitemark for the second time is further objective corroboration of CF Benchmarks’ transparency, the soundness of our operational processes, as well as the integrity of our Benchmark Methodology.

It’s worth noting that the prior audit was completed around two years ago when CF Benchmarks’ regulated indices numbered 12.

Given that we now publish almost 100 regulated benchmarks, the second successful audit also demonstrates that there has been zero compromise in the quality of our operations or the integrity of our indices since Deloitte’s first audit.

We hope our commitment to transparency, accountability and willingness to be scrutinized will instil further confidence in investors in the digital asset class and key regulated financial products in the space that rely on our benchmarks, such as the CME crypto derivatives suite, Blackrock Bitcoin Private Trust, ETFs from Hashdex, and NDFs from Nomura.

We continue to pursue our mission of seeking the highest possible standards of market integrity, accuracy and reliability as a cryptocurrency Benchmark Administrator, to the benefit of all investors and the digital asset industry as a whole.
